PENZANCE CHORAL SOCIETY
A friendly mixed-voice choir in the heart of Penzance. No auditions, no need to read music, just a love of singing.
WHO ARE WE?
We're a mixed-voice choir of around 60 singers, and we welcome everyone. If you like to sing, we'd love you to join us.
There's no audition to join. Come along, sing, and see how you get on.
Plenty of our members don't read music. You'll pick it up with help from the people around you.
The scores for each concert are included as part of your membership.
WHAT DO WE SING?
From Bach, Handel and Haydn to Elgar, Rutter and Britten, we perform the great choral works with professional soloists and orchestra or organ.
Bizet: Carmen · Verdi: La Traviata · Verdi: Aida · Mascagni: Cavalleria Rusticana · Verdi: Nabucco…
Rutter: Magnificat · Chilcott: On Christmas Night
Mendelssohn: Elijah

COMING UP IN MAY 2027

Two of the most joyful works in the choral repertoire.
WHY I JOINED
I remember enjoying singing at school, and wanted to find somewhere I could learn new things and meet new people. I can't read music, but it doesn't matter, there's lots of help. Rehearsals are fun, and when we sing together for a concert, it feels great!
A member of one year
